Legislative Representation
Carolinas LICA and the national association of LICA monitor laws and regulations which affect all of us in the land improvement business. LICA members from across the country make annual visits to Washington, DC, to speak to our congressmen and senators on your behalf. LICA members hold positions on state and national boards that use the contractors' experience in making new, and changing old laws and regulations.

Monthly Newsletters
Education is a primary concern for LICA and the association provides a wealth of information through its newsletters. The national publication, The LICA News, and the chapter's newsletter, The Pipeline, keep members up-to-date on association, legislative and industry news.

Land and Water Magazine
Your contractor membership includes a subscription to Land and Water Magazine. Each month LICA contractors from across the country are featured. The magazine also will run free classified ads for LICA members.

Drug/Alcohol Testing Program
Total implementation of your program and procedures by a specialist offering state-of-the-art technical expertise. All the services needed to make the program a success are available.

Conventions
LICA Conventions are a perfect opportunity to meet contractors like yourself. Members come together to conduct the business of the association, but they also receive the bonus of seminars, speakers, entertainers and tours. The national LICA Exhibit Hall is always a treat for the contractors and an excellent way to keep up-to-date on equipment, materials and services you need. Tours and seminars are also held for spouses and children to involve them in the LICA family. Both the national and chapter conventions are held in a different place each year with top cities being selected.

Life Insurance
Your membership provides you with free life insurance. The Carolinas LICA Chapter provides its contractor and associate members with $10,000 Term Life Insurance. The National LICA provides the contractor members with $5,000 Term Life Insurance. That's a total of $15,000 for Contractors and $10,000 for Associates.

LICA Member Handbook
This is a free handbook which contains an introduction to all the services available through the national association. It also includes suggested business forms as well as other information pertinent to your business.

Theft and Vandalism Program
A Theft and Vandalism Program is provided by the national association that pays a REWARD in the event that your equipment is stolen or vandalized. Decals are free with membership.

Hotel Discounts
Receive a 20% discount at Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, Rodeway, Econo Lodge and Mainstay Suites. Receive 30% off the published rates at Ramada Inn, Days Inn and Howard Johnson.

Membership Directory
National LICA and the Carolinas Chapter each publish a Membership Directory annually. These list all members, associate members and advertisements by our associates.

Truck Discounts
Dodge offers discounts on pickups to LICA members. Chevrolet offers a discount on the commercial service package.

Scholarships
The LICA Education Committee administers funds in the form of a scholarship to assist members and their families in furthering their education.
